f you are looking for tips on how to prepare your house for a clearance, or tips on how to save money during one, then this is the article for you. Here we discuss tips that will help when going through a house clearance and tips that can be used in preparation of it.

The tips in this article are relevant for home owners going through a house clearance. It is not necessary that you have done the tips before either - if your loved one or friend has passed away and they need their old belongings removed then these tips can be used on how to prepare for such an event.
Following house clearances we often get asked questions from our clients about what happened during it all, so here we discuss some of those frequently asked questions as well. We hope you find this useful!

  • List of what needs to be cleared: Sofa, kitchen appliances, bed and mattress etc.
  • Keep items that are sentimental to you but might not have any value like old school reports, childhood toys etc., keep things with memories even if they hold no monetary worth - these can be stored in boxes or even put into storage for later use (e.g. parents who need somewhere to store their suitcases). Be careful of storing anything though because there may be an additional cost involved and depending on how long it'll take, it could get expensive! You don't want to end up paying out extra money after all the effort you've gone through already which is why preparation tips below will come in handy if applicable . It's also important to note that going forward, if you're planning to move then it might be worth considering whether or not to take everything with you. If your family is smaller and doesn't own as much, there's no real need for an old rocking chair when all the spare rooms in a new place will probably just be filled up with more of your stuff again anyway!
  • Consider donating things like clothes etc., furniture might be easier than transporting yourself (or ask friends/family), take pictures when clearing up just in case you need them for insurance.
  • Sorting tips: When sorting items into piles it can be helpful to start with the things you don't want and work your way up from there. The more wasteful stuff at the top will save time when moving on later to other things that might have value or are sentimental.
  • From a financial standpoint, keep in mind these tips for house clearance below if applicable. You can save money on house clearance costs because we buy off bulky/large furniture pieces (if they're in good condition), old electronics such as mobile phones etc.
  • We will use recycling centres for disposal of other electronic goods like TVs, eWaste as it is much easier now too so we take advantage where possible!
  • We don't just throw items away in landfill sites because this damages the environment and costs money. There's also an environmental impact of
  • moving too so consider this when you're planning a house clearance.

Sorting Items During House Clearance
As far as what should go into different piles goes - some tips include taking out every single draw from desks before throwing anything away while others may suggest leaving them alone so that each item can later be seen by whoever comes over (rather than chucking things out without thinking twice about it). It's also important to note that going forward, if you're planning to move then it might be worth considering whether or not to leave the old wardrobe behind - it might be better to sell or donate any furniture that is in good condition, rather than having it take up space for a few years.

Perhaps you've already cleaned your house and are just looking to throw out some of the junk you were once using but no longer need? If so, there's probably not even going to be enough time to sort things into different piles! It can actually take hours upon hours for an expert team with all the right equipment at hand (and they will have this) when clearing out houses filled with stuff which needs moving on from here. In these circumstances, it definitely makes sense to just hire Derby house clearance professionals who know exactly what they're doing if possible as everyone has their own tips about how to save money on your house clearance and tips for house clearing to follow in order to create the best outcome. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't take a look at some of these tips yourself either!

What should I do with old furniture?
We can buy it, or you can choose to donate it! Many charities will take donated goods free of charge - try checking out your local council recycling centre or even see if there are any charity shops in the area that could benefit from some unwanted but still usable items. It might also be a good idea to get an estimate on how much you can make selling these things online before donating them as it may not be worth taking up storage space/paying someone else to move this stuff around when they'll only receive pennies at best. The same applies if you're thinking about leaving these items on the side of a road. Make sure that someone else will be able to make good use of them before you dump them!
